MARKETS:
Canada Bread serves major grocery chains, retail outlets and foodservice operations across Canada. The company distributes branded products in the discount, mainstream and super-premium segments, and is the leading producer in most major bakery categories. It also produces private label products for grocery and foodservice outlet.

We are currently looking to hire a Maintenance Electrician / Millwright to join our team at our Langley manufacturing facility.

Job requirements
  • Responsible for completing work schedules in cooperation with various departments and management.
  • Must have an Electrical and/or Millwright Ticket with 3 to 5 years’ experience in a 24/7 food manufacturing operation. You have an excellent mechanical ability and have no problems rolling up your sleeves to troubleshoot.
  • You will perform repairs and follow the preventative maintenance schedule thoroughly and accurately to sustain optimal performance of equipment and minimize downtime and costs while in compliance with HACCP rules and other requirements.
  • All work performed and completed may require skills such as electrical, PLC programming, refrigeration, hydraulics, pneumatics, vacuum, plumbing, fabricating and other areas as needed. You will be responsible for trouble shooting of machinery to minimize down time; acts upon an intense sense of urgency to on-floor calls and emergencies.
  • All required documentation is completed correctly and on time. This may include Daily Time Sheets, Pre- operational forms, Preventative Maintenance logs, temperature recording and equipment monitoring, work orders, inventory counts, etc.
  • You will be responsible for housekeeping and maintaining a tidy, clean and safe work area on the floor and in the maintenance shop. This role will require some liaison with contractors for conducting repairs in the Plant.
  • Must be a good communicator and be active hands on team player.
  • Experience in repairing and troubleshooting PLCs in particular Allen Bradley SLC500.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and are able to work with minimal or no supervision.
Compensation
  • Starting wage is $36.25
  • Additional premiums for night shift, Sundays, dual tickets (electrician and millwright), and other certifications.
  • Must be able to work all shifts (will most likely be on night shift).
