The Assistant Marketing Manager will report into the Marketing Manager and will support the execution of annual marketing plans, including consumer advertising and promotions, new product launches, research initiatives, etc.  The successful applicant has a passion for food and the consumer, a history of demonstrating innovative thinking, acts with a sense of urgency and has a high degree of business acumen.  They have experience in new product/category launches and can effectively navigate within a global company to leverage and apply best in class learnings and experiences.
 
Responsibilities
  • Assist in leading cross functional/global teams that include Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, R&D, Supply Chain, and Category Management to achieve outlined objectives
  • Evaluate and commercialize opportunities from a range of sources: ground- up innovation, source from co-manufacturing and grab and adapt from other markets
  • Monitor new product introductions/technologies from competitors locally and in other markets
  • Assist in creating a 3-5 year innovation pipeline and diligently manage them through internal/global product development processes
  • Provide analytics on shipment/consumption (Nielsen) data and support monthly reporting requirements
  • Lead development of web properties, with support from digital team
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business plus 1-3 years of marketing or customer marketing experience within a consumer packaged goods environment, ideally a National or Multi-National organization
  • Experience within the Snack Food Industry
  • Proven experience in developing commercial initiatives and leading cross functional teams
  • Must possess excellent analytical and project management skills
  • Proactive and performance driven, have a bias for action and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong team player, with well-developed “people interaction” skill set
