From Stonemill’s Scarborough Ontario location, the Marketing Business Lead will report into the VP, National Sales and will support the successful integration of the bakery into Grupo Bimbo.  The successful candidate will develop and lead the cross-functional business team to execute plans to double the business by 2020 and lead marketing for the brand.  They will provide day to day leadership of the Stonemill cross functional business team, deliver financial metrics, identify longer term capacity needs and plans and ensure quality consistency aligned to the Stonemill brand promise.
 
Responsibilities
  • Leadership of capital investment recommendations
  • Identify longer term capacity needs and plans
  • Identify future crop needs as a result of planned development
  • Develop and implement the marketing plans to achieve the overall objectives of the Stonemill portfolio
  • Lead consumer communication, packaging and running the Stonemill St. Lawrence Market location
  • Identify and deliver efficiency savings to support growth into new markets
  • Maintain a strong fill rate to requested orders – direct to customer and to Wholesome Harvest Baking
  • Lead contact for all activities that will impact the team – systems and software implementation, new product development, etc.
  • Execution of commercial initiatives including new product development
  • Ingredient management in collaboration with purchasing to meet commercial plan targets
  • Effective management of the P&L, maintaining a strong presence in the market and growing the top and bottom line profitability of the Stonemill facility
  • Address portfolio opportunities in collaboration with on-site Manager
  • Participate in the Market Board Meetings, acting as the lead in the new lower level re-design
  • Identify and address back of house limitations to ensure product quality is high, end execution is flawless
  • Establish guidelines for pricing strategies – base and promotion
  • Analyze budget, P&L and additional sales, market & trend data to identify portfolio opportunities and highlight issues making recommendations to provide a resolution
  • Lead Merchandising efforts and key consumer communication through Social Media to ensure a consistent Brand message
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of CPG background within the food industry
  • Experience as a General Manager within a GPG/manufacturing organization
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally without a direct reporting structure
  • Proven ability to motivate and manage a team to deliver results and align the business with marketing strategies
  • Broad general management capabilities including ability to manage a P&L
  • Creative strategic thinking capabilities
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit with a willingness to get into the details when required
  • Highly responsive and able to make timely decisions while managing multiple projects
  • Ability to execute with excellence within a changing environment
  • Fluency in Spanish would be an asset
