Canada Bread Company Ltd is looking for a Human Relations Coordinator in Moncton.
  • Overall responsibility for recruitment initiatives for the Atlantic region.
  • Identify candidates, screen resumes, conduct telephone and in person interviews, reference checking, background checks and exit interviews.
  • Track resumes, exit interviews and compile data and reports.
  • Develop and conduct training programs for managers as to improve recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reduce turnover.
  • Provide guidance and/or training to support our supervisory personnel in areas such as absenteeism, conflict management, performance management, health and safety and disability case management.
  • Answering associate requests and questions.
  • Assist Oracle administration, i.e. Processing  HR transactions (new hires, termination, rate changes etc)  ensuring complete accuracy, timeliness and confidentiality.
  • Maintain accurate associate files (Hourly and Salaried) for the Atlantic region including personnel and case management files.
  • Research and compile market analysis information for the purposes of collective bargaining.
  • Facilitate human relations processes and training programs.
  • Assist other HR team members with various projects as assigned.
  • Some travel will be required.
  • Human Resources Certificate or a University Degree specialized in Human Resources, combined with related experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working in a unionized environment preferably in Manufacturing
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in recruiting and Human Relations
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ labour relations experience is preferred
  • Completion of the registered recruitment program or CHRP designations would be considered an asset
  • Excellent organization, prioritization and time management skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of all relevant legislation and recruitment practices.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook); working knowledge of Oracle would be considered an asset.
  • The ability to prioritize, learn and adapt to change in a fast paced environment with a high volume of transactions
  • The working language of this position is English, however, the ability to communicate in French is a requirement.
