JOB Summary: 
The Shipping associate works in the Canada Bread Company, Limited’s Brampton Distribution Centre. He/she works in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, responsible for picking product, loading and unloading product from trucks. This person has direct impact on the efficiency of our operation and contributes daily to quality of our products being delivered to our customers.
 
SHIFT TIME: Sun, Mon, Wed, Thu, Fri – 2 – 10:30pm
Rate of Pay: $14.90/hr.

        
JOB Responsibilities:
  • Contributes to a healthy work environment, while maintain high food safety and health and   safety standards
  • Picks and assembles cases of product to be put on trucks and in other areas of the plant
  • Loads and unloads cases of product off trucks, organizes product in the warehouse
  • Scans cases and orders to ensure all product is accounted for
  • Takes action to correct any issues and to make improvements
  • Other responsibilities as required
 
WHAT DOING A GOOD JOB LOOKS LIKE:
  • Directly helps the department to meet targets and goals while maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, ensures that GMP’s and SOP’s are followed
  • Maintains productivity that meets/exceeds standards
  • Appropriate communication to Supervisor when identifying issues
  • Awareness and sense of urgency regarding date-sensitive products
  • Understanding of internal process including returns and auger as well as major accounts
  • Dedicated to ensuring all orders for customers are met
  • Contributes to the team and the whole facility in a positive way 
REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITY & EXPERIENCE:
  • Able to work in a fast-paced work environment with repetitive tasks, able to lift up to 75lbs
  • Willing to learn PC data and Oracle and able to use the pre and end dispatch stations, Basic computer skills are an asset
  • Able to stand and walk throughout the shift
  • Can work well in a team environment and support team members, with minimal supervision
  • Good communication skills, able to speak and read English
