Management of the Maintenance Department

  • Ensure implementation of Preventive Maintenance Program (MAXIMO)
  • Formulate CER’s (Capital Expenditure Requests) for the electronic approval process
  • Direct mechanic/electrical team, Maintenance Supervisors, administrator and purchaser.
  • Manage, design & implement capital projects
  • Bring forth new ideas to improve on existing production processes
  • Propose energy conservation ideas
  • Lead Environmental Committee and the implementation of the Manufacturing excellence chapter
  • Active member of site leadership team
  • Provide Value-based leadership  / drive leadership edge in department
  • Complete PADs for direct reports
  • Training & Development  / Muscle building / Top grading
  • Hourly & Salaried Recruitment & Selection & Onboarding
  • Committed to strong Labor Relations in the faculties
  • Support Employee Relations Initiative in the facility
  • Facilitate open communication creating cross functional relationships
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining product integrity; practicing highest levels of GMP’s and conforming to HACCP pre-requisite program and all associated SOP’s.
  • Internal and external audits
  • Member of site Food Safety Committee
  • Active participate in Food Safety initiatives including implementing policy’ and procedures.
  • Department Budget control with approval from Operations Manager.
  • Perform work in a safe and healthy manner; 
  • Participation in ongoing H&S training, audits etc.
  • Facilitates Health & Safety Policies
  • Ensure contractor compliance as it relates to plant safety program orientation and confidentiality statements
  • Licensed Electrical / Mechanical Technical Certificate with Degree/diploma in engineering
  • 3-5 years as a supervisor experience & 3 years experience in maintenance environment as a qualified tradesperson an advantage
  • Excellent planning, analytical & organizational skills
  • Strong Leadership and communication skills  (both Verbal & Written); Ability to interact with all levels of business Strong oral & written skills, proven ability to communicate in an ESL work environment.
