The business will continue to grow market leadership and margins by investing in the premium whole grain product category, and by delivering continued product innovation in other bakery and snack categories.

Canada Bread serves major grocery chains, retail outlets, and foodservice operations across Canada. The company distributes branded products in the discount, mainstream, and super-premium segments, and is the leading producer in most major bakery categories. It also produces private label products for grocery and foodservice outlet.

To achieve regional sales, merchandising and execution plans through effective training, coaching and motivation of assigned sales region. The RSM is also accountable for recruiting, development, and values cultivation and adherence by all members of the Region including Territory Sales Managers and Independent Operators / Company Drivers.

  • The ability to coach and lead Territory Sales Managers and Independent Operators/Company Drivers in identifying and closing account development opportunities utilizing the critical activities, i.e. selling, merchandising, ordering and delivery
  • Responsible for implementing multiple strategies in the region in order to achieve sales and profitability targets.
  • Route optimization and engineering to ensure sufficient capacity for current and future business needs.Achieve sales targets/plans.
  • Achieve returns targets/plans.
  • Manage Regional SG&A budget to plan.
  • Develop an effective sales team through selection, leadership & motivation including recruiting, hiring, and top-grading.
  • Create a productive work environment through effective communication, listening, participation, organization and follow-up.
  • Work with Territory Sales Managers on business relationships with Independent Operators
  • Strong leadership qualities.  Ability to align, motivates, and holds team accountable for results.
  • Acts with a high level of integrity and treats people with respect.
  • Understanding of a DSD system.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written); actively listens to needs of others.
  • Interpersonal: works well with others in a team environment.
  • Selling: ability to identify opportunities, set goals and execute plans to achieve goals.
  • Computer skills: proficient at Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Supervision: builds commitment and teamwork while maintaining a creative and positive work environment.. 


  • University or community college diploma/degree
  • DSD experience preferred
  • 5+ years consumer goods sales experience
