Position Summary:        
The Finance Analyst  is responsible for supporting the customer business teams with reporting on all financial metrics, analyzing and directing the team to make wise decisions on promotional spend, & conveying CBT results to the national finance reporting group.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Weekly forecasting by Customer Business Team
  • Weekly year over year and Budget vs. actual analysis preparation and presentation.  Gather insights and explanation in customer performance for presentation to the finance leadership group.
  • Ensure that CBT leadership has an accurate and thorough understanding of CBT performance and can articulate variances to budget and prior year.
  • Ensure CBT members have an understanding of volume, rate, and mix variances, allowing them to make informed business decisions in a timely manner.
  • Support CBT VP in SG&A Forecasting on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure CBT Trade accruals are accurate and Customer Business Development Managers understand and manage their account trade spend.
  • Lead the annual budget process for the assigned CBT including; Trend Identification, Sku Rat, Innovation, and expense budgeting.
  • Support customer specific product launches.
  • Perform ad hoc financial accounting analysis and financial reports as required
  • Quarterly analysis to external auditors
  • Project work including creation of new support tools 
  • Possess or pursuing an accounting designation
  • University Degree in Business or
  • 3-5 years experience in CPG (consumer packaged goods) or like business  
  • Ability to work with a positive attitude and in a professional manner
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Manufacturing/CPG(production) background would be an asset
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and be a dedicated team player.
  • Self-Awareness & the ability to plan for the future.
  • Strong MS Office ability (excel, power point, outlook, word)
  • Experience with QlikView, Webfocus, Jedox, Oracle an asset
  • Team player who understand when to constructively challenge the groups thinking.
  • Ability to understand issues from varying perspectives
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and detailed oriented
  • Excellent organizational skills plus ability to manage multiple priorities
