As an independent business unit of Grupo Bimbo, Canada Bread seeks to grow value-added bakery segments by focusing on health and well-being, and penetrating new bakery segments and channels of distribution. The business will continue to grow market leadership and margins by investing in the premium whole grain product category, and by delivering continued product innovation in other bakery and snack categories.
 
Program Summary
The Canada Bread Leadership Trainee Program is Canada Breads’ early leadership development program for talented, driven and ambitious graduates. During the three years in the program participants will rotate through three carefully selected and meaningful roles that will develop both their leadership and functional expertise preparing them for their future as a Canada Bread leader.  The program consists of roles in Sales, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, Food Safety and Quality, Operations, Procurement or Logistics.
Upon graduation trainees are equipped to take on roles with greater responsibility and scope that will drive impact on business results regionally, nationally and globally based on their skillset and organizational needs.

  • Committed to immersing themselves in a three year rotational journey and learning that will provide them with foundational skills and knowledge that will prepare them for a career in the baking industry.
  • Graduated within the last 2 years and has less than two years pre or post-graduation work experience or will soon graduate from university with a minimum of an overall B average.
  • Ability to learn quickly and flexibility to adapt to changing demands
  • The drive to contribute to overall winning results within team
  • Demonstrated leadership through previous work experiences, volunteer roles, community activities and involvement in sports teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the importance of developing and maintaining relationships both internally and externally.
  • Robust skillset in the use of Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
