Background Required:
  • University degree or College diploma in Food Science, Quality Assurance or Nutrition
  • Food industry experience

Job Description:
Reporting to Director, Regulatory Affairs, the Quality & Food Safety Coordinator will work closely with a team of Quality and Regulatory specialists to support the business as outlined below.
 
  • Support management of corporate sensory program with coordination of product reviews and scoring using QA computer applications
  • Coordinate cross functional meetings, product sample collection and preparation for sensory scoring 
  • Prepare product quality reports for review by cross functional teams
  • Correspond with plant teams to address corrective actions
  • Support maintenance of product information databases and regulatory requests as required
  • Prepare finished product label information for new and updated packaging using Genesis R&D software
  • Proof packaging artwork to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
  • Participate in weekly QA/RA team meetings to prioritize and respond to cross-functional requests related to regulatory compliance of ingredients and finished products

  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software
  • Analytical, fact based and detail-oriented with problem solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management skills with ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple projects under strict time
