Market Leader - Impulse Sales Leader

Hiring Requirements:
Reporting to the Regional Impulse Sales Leader, the successful candidate will be responsible for sales in a specific territory in the small merchandiser, convenience store and alternative customer segment, for the territory’s performance, and for the execution of a strategic plan focused on customer engagement and the customer business team.

The selected candidate will also be tasked with supporting the field sales team’s objectives by executing our in-store programs and communicating our market initiatives. In addition, they will ensure effective management of the various accounts by identifying new business opportunities and executing initiatives needed to maintain and develop brand presence and penetration in the given territory.

  • Manage and coach the 4 pillars of Ready to Sell. (Pre-Sell, Selling, Post Sell and Execution Standards)
  • Weekly Sales Centre morning visits to evaluate Pre-Selling route process.
  • Racking, POS and Inventory management
  • Recruitment and Training utilizing Ready to Sell campaign/training materials.
  • Establishing, cementing and maintaining execution standards
  • Establish solid relationships with customers by developing business based on their needs / motivations and creating strategic plans that highlight Bimbo Canada’s products and programs and enable them to identify business opportunities
  • Responsible for Food Service management, building strong relationships and solicitation of new business
  • Actively participate in developing the customer’s sales by identifying, proposing and executing sales plans, new marketing initiatives, and new business opportunities (business development)
  • Present, promote and sell products / services with solid arguments for existing and potential customers
  • Perform an analysis of costs/benefits and needs for existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Business development based on identified opportunities (solicitation)
  • Conduct route rides to evaluate execution and selling capabilities
  • Analyze territory/market potential, monitor sales, execution reports and propose initiatives to increase sales volume
  • Analyze our products’ penetration in their market, propose action plans and ensure product availability
  • Manage various issues encountered by customers and distributors (complaints, requests, etc.)
  • Motivate and support customers and distributors in sales strategies and demand management
  • Present new products and promotions to distributors and provide value-added service, e.g. by identifying new in-store business opportunities
  • Direct qualified opportunities to the Regional Leader, internal sales in support of later business development
  • If needed, prepare business reviews by choosing and collecting relevant and appropriate data and then presenting it to customers and distributors
  • If needed, meet with customers to verify our execution, address problematic situations, or solicit or propose sales initiatives
  • Participate in, and sometimes even lead, various follow-up meetings with distributors and other business reviews with customers
  • Perform administrative and periodic tasks.

Experience & Education
 
  • Post-secondary diploma (college and/or university) in an appropriate field (a specialization in marketing and/or operations management will be considered an asset) (Note: candidates with equivalent training combined with relevant experience will be considered during the selection process)
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a similar position in management or sales in a consumer goods sector
  • Acts with a high level of integrity and treats people with respect
  • Analytical mind and a sense for business development
  • Understands principles of analysis and profitability and knows how to influence then
  • Recognized ability in proactive communication and coaching
  • Recognized as a leader with excellent listening skills
  • Independent worker, responsible, and has a strong sense of personal and professional ethics
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and French
  • Professional knowledge of software tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Understanding of and experience with direct store delivery systems is an asset.
