Position Summary:
The Regional Logistics Manager, covering central GTA, will play a key leadership role in driving logistics and distribution activities, overseeing operations, managing execution and cost efficiency.  Reporting to the Senior Manager, Logistics, this position will lead a diverse team, including 7 direct reports, 8+ salaried associates, and approximately 65 hourly associates in unionized environments.

This leader will prioritize safety, demonstrate and drive supply chain excellence, and provide transformational leadership, contributing to Bimbo Canada's ongoing modernization initiatives, including the implementation of automation and enhanced WMS systems. By collaborating closely with cross-functional teams—particularly Field Sales, Planning and Operations—The Logsitics Manager will lead change management efforts and inspire teams to achieve sustainable success across our integrated supply chain operations.

Territory: This role covers the corridor from East Brampton to Ottawa; candidates residing within this area are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of multiple Distribution Centers/ Bakeries, including receiving, storage, and shipping of products.
  • Ensure order fulfillment accuracy and timely deliveries, addressing complaints or issues proactively.
  • Set performance goals and monitor KPIs, implementing corrective actions for site and team when needed.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure continued compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, JHSC recommendations or MOL work orders, Company Safety rules and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Budgeting & Cost Management - Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor costs, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to support long-term business goals.
  • Customer-Centric Approach - Interact with key customers and support sales initiatives to ensure exceptional service delivery and alignment with customer needs.
  • Operational Excellence & Process Improvement - Review existing logistics processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement solutions to enhance performance, reduce costs, and increase agility.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making - Oversee the preparation of reports and analyses, track variances, and implement corrective actions to address operational challenges.
  • Provide development, coaching, and/or progressive discipline to both salaried and hourly associates
  • Continuous Improvement Leadership - Lead initiatives to improve supply chain performance, mentor team members in problem-solving techniques, and drive a culture of accountability and excellence.
Experience & Education:
  • At least 3-5 years’ experience as a Logistics Manager in a food or CPG, unionized environment
  • Post-secondary education or related field required; advanced training or certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards, regulations and best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse teams in unionized and non-unionized environments.
  • The flexibility to adapt to a 24-hour, 7-day operation schedule
  • Superior communication skills in a multi-cultural environment and the ability to deal with a variety of front-line industrial relations issues.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with manufacturing, sales, and forecasting teams.
Skills & Knowledge:
  • Operational Expertise:
    • Demonstrated success in transitioning strategic goals into actionable operational plans across distribution and warehousing operations.
    • Strong knowledge of ERP systems, WMS, warehouse automation, Lean methodologies, and Agile practices.
  • Results-Oriented
    • Goal-driven and focused on advancing initiatives, achieving targets, and fostering engagement through clear objectives and empowerment.
  • Critical Skills:
    • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
    • A resourceful, problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results.
The annual salary range for applicants is $102,000.00 - $120,000.00, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other factors.
