You will lead a diverse team and influence strategic initiatives that strengthen our end-to-end supply chain and deliver exceptional results for both internal and external customers—while ensuring the highest standards of safety and product quality.

Position Overview:

As a key member of the regional leadership team, the Senior Manager, Logistics – Western Canada will oversee logistics and distribution operations across Western Canada, ensuring efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement. This role manages 4 distribution centers in Manitoba, Alberta, and British Columbia, with responsibility for 5 direct reports, 17 salaried associates, and 120 hourly team members in unionized and non-unionized environments.

The Leader will champion change management initiatives as we transition to an automated, Oracle ERP-supported environment, fostering collaboration and driving elevated performance.
Success requires strategic thinking, influential leadership, collaborating with cross-functional teams (particularly Field Sales and Operations) and a relentless focus on safety, productivity, cost optimization, customer satisfaction, and uncompromising safety and quality standards


Key Responsibilities:

Champion Safety
  • Champion a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and empowering a zero-incident mindset.
Drive Regional Logistics Operations
  • Deliver operational plans for warehousing and distribution, ensuring cost optimization and productivity gains across all sites.
  • Establish and maintain robust labour standards and enhanced SOPs, embedding process discipline and driving performance excellence across all sites.
 Operational Excellence & Product Quality
  • Safeguard product quality throughout the end-to-end supply chain, maintaining standards that protect brand integrity and customer trust.
  • Review and enhance logistics processes for efficiency and scalability.       
  • Instill operational rigor and continuous improvement, leveraging Lean methodologies.
Data – Driven Decision Making
  • Monitor and report on KPIs (e.g., cost reduction, service level improvements, process efficiency) and recommend corrective actions.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports and analyses, track variances, and implement corrective actions to address operational challenges.
Budgeting & Cost Management
  • Develop and manage operational budgets, monitor costs, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to support long-term business goals.
Strategic Collaboration
  • Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Forecasting, Sales, Customer Service, and Production Planning to deliver on internal and external customer commitments, ensuring service excellence and responsiveness.
People & Team Development
  • Build and elevate team capability through targeted development in technical skills, tactical execution, and leadership competencies.
  • Coach and mentor team members to foster accountability, adaptability, and continuous learning.
Experience & Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field required; advanced training or certifications preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience in CPG, food and beverage, or similarly high-volume industries.
  • Proven leadership of unionized hourly teams and salaried professionals, with strong engagement, coaching and development skills.
  • Demonstrated success in P&L ownership, budget management, cost controls, and margin improvement through productivity initiatives.
  • Strong customer-facing capability and ability to represent the company externally
  • Experience collaborating with Manufacturing, Forecasting, Sales, Customer Service, and Planning partners
  • Proven experience in leading successful implementation and adoption of enterprise systems (ERP, WMS, TMS), including integration, user training, and change management to ensure operational efficiency, real-time visibility, and sustained utilization
  • Technical proficiency: WMS/TMS experience required; Oracle ERP preferred
  • Certifications: APICS/ASCM CSCP, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt+ preferred
  • Skilled in Lean and Agile methodologies, Value Stream Mapping, and FMEA
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • High business acumen with analytical and systems expertise
 
The annual salary range for applicants is: $135,000- $160,000, which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other factors.
