Network Analyst, DSD and Route Health

Position Overview
The National Sales Excellence (NSE) Team builds and manages processes, programs, analysis and tools in support of the Field Sales Team and our Direct to Store (DSD) Network in Canada.   We design and implement tools to enhance excellence within our core processes (ordering, delivery, selling, merchandising) for our Sales team and our delivery network, and drive innovative solutions to enhance efficiency & improve results.   Our guiding principles of lean thinking and collaboration allow us to support Bimbo Canada’s objective of driving profitable customer growth.

Within this team, the Network Analyst, DSD and Route Health role provides operational support for the financial, legal and structural management of our DSD network.   This role is active in the facilitation of strategic projects and process improvements cross functionally.   The team provides analysis, KPI’s and ad hoc reports to measure and reconcile programs and performance.  
 
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
  • Measurement, maintenance and improvement of health and viability of delivery routes:
    • Maintain Route Health assessment tools through analyzing data, maintaining standards, and maintaining interactive Excel based tools that align to our legal obligations
    • Act as a key subject matter expert in route re-engineering & related initiatives:
      • conduct current state assessment benchmarking exercise
      • provide strategic future state design solutions to the team & then work closely with sales partners to assess feasibility
      • measure potential solutions against project objectives including route health and customer requirements
      • ensure integrity of information at all levels of detail; validate accuracy of changes
      • additional activities including execution of legal and financial supporting documents
    • Build financial models, calculate project savings, and identify gaps and opportunities; roll up to produce Leadership level reporting dashboards
    • Act as a Subject Matter Expert to Field Sales, providing guidelines and support for our business processes, following our Legal Agreements and SOP’s
    • Utilize route planning and optimization software to analyze & design route structure scenarios for enhanced route health (UNIGIS)
    • Coordinate and execute movement of customers amongst routes per established processes, including consent letters, financing forms, master data scheduling, communication, administration of loan documents and execution of legal amendments
  • Execution of ongoing financial and legal administration-related processes for Franchise and Distributor Agreements
    • Manage updates to contract Schedules, business valuations, and ongoing investment associated with new business
    • Create Route Sale Forms, Renewal Forms, and other activities that serve as critical inputs to legal disclosure / offer documents
    • Work closely with Finance Teams to provide direction and approval for asset transactions, ensuring integrity of data
    • Provide operational support for Network Development, Master Data and other teams to support route and customer changes within standard processes
    • Perform updates to our core ERP system, Commercial Platform to ensure it reflects route structures
    • Provide calculations and reconciliations for Incentive Programs, Fees, Subsidies and more
    • Support projects as required, including new legal agreement rollouts & SOP updates
  • Data and Reporting
    • Generate various Revenue reports (utilizing Margin Minder, Qlik Sense, Access and Excel); demonstrate intimate understanding of DSD related data & requirements
    • Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as required  
Qualifications
  • Business degree, Business Analysis
  • 3 – 5 years’ relevant work experience in DSD network, experience with legal agreements, financial analysis, experience with large datasets will all be helpful in this role
  • Naturally process driven, extremely detail oriented, able to follow complex processes, requires minimal supervision to produce timely accurate outputs
  • High sense of urgency, well organized and able to prioritize effectively
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) actively listens to the needs of others
  • Highly proficient computer skills (notably Excel, BI Tools, Access, Route Optimization software)
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve and reduce waste, set goals and execute plans to achieve the plan
  • Builds commitment and teamwork with all internal and external contacts while maintaining a creative and positive work environment.
