As an independent business unit of Grupo Bimbo, Bimbo Canada seeks to grow value-added bakery segments by focusing on health and well-being, and penetrating new bakery segments and channels of distribution. The business plans to grow by delivering continued product innovation in other bakery and snacks categories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monthly forecasting and budgeting of SG&A expenses
  • Budgeting, forecasting and tracking of Marketing Ad & Promo spend
  • Analyze, communicate, and present financials to Marketing Leadership Team to align on how to best optimize Marketing spend
  • Review all information against budget and forecast to check for reasonableness, escalating any areas of concern, and making amendments, if necessary
  • Create journal entries and accruals for coupons spend, royalties, and all other marketing related expenses
  • Reconcile the General Ledger to Sub-ledger on a monthly basis to ensure all expenses are being captured in both the correct line items and Marketing projects
  • Continually look for opportunities to improve effectiveness of financial reporting
  • Develop strong relationships with Marketing team to identify areas of improvement
Required Experience and Education:
  • University degree in Business administration or Commerce
  • 2-3 Years finance experience in CPG or like industry
  • Actively pursuing or completed CPA or MBA
Required Skills and Knowledge:
  • Candidate must be detail oriented and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Oracle is considered a major asset
  • Ability to work with independently with positive attitude and in a professional manner
  • Excellent organizational skills plus ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to summarize key findings to non-financial associates
  • Advanced working knowledge of Excel is a must
