Senior Treasury Analyst

We are currently looking to hire a Senior Treasury Analyst who is looking to take the next step in their career.


Role Summary
This regional role provides oversight and analysis of day-to-day Treasury operations and internal controls, and maintains operational relationships with banks and third-party vendors for the North American Treasury Center of Excellence (COE).  Senior Treasury Analyst will help manage daily liquidity positions, ensure the operational capabilities of payment and depository systems, and provide project or analysis support to the Treasury Manager and Treasury Director.

Role Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Cash management activities:
  • Ensure adequate operating liquidity by monitoring daily wire activity, deposit flows, loan payments, and investment cash flows.  Prepare daily reports for Treasury and Finance teams.
  • Coordinate daily investment/borrowing decision and related actions.   Confirm application of negotiated rates for investments and borrowing activities.
  • Manage wire transfer approval process, including initiating wires, maintaining bank templates and posting completed transactions to accounting system. 
  • Research, resolve or respond to a wide variety of inquiries and issues from across the organization related to bank transactions, entitlements, products or services.
  • Support the ongoing development of a strong Treasury control environment to ensure continuous compliance with Treasury policies and procedures, and to minimize risk of fraud.
  • Provide support to Treasury Manager for bank account administration, including entitlements, signatories and periodic auditing process.
  • Analyze bank account fees and banking activity to ensure optimal pricing.
  • Apply continuous improvement mindset to analysis of bank account structure, optimizing efficiency of daily cash sweep movements and identifying opportunities for bank and account rationalization.
  • Key role in the implementation of the Kyriba TMS.  Multiple modules to be implemented including: cash positioning, cash accounting, cash forecasting, payments, FX, IC loans, etc.

Treasury Product/Service Administration and Support:
  • Partner with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, and business operations to ensure operational capability of payment systems, depository structures and bank products / services.  Support account openings/closures or initiation of new products or services, as necessary.
  • Administration and support for BBU’s in-house independent business partner financing entity (Advantafirst), including daily processing of new loan applications.
  • Resolve day-to-day issues related to proper functioning of armored car program.
  • Support Treasury Manager and Treasury Director with ad hoc projects, implementations, financial analysis, problem resolution and other activities.

Education and Experience:
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited institution in finance, accounting or economics preferred. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
  • Minimum 5 years of cash management experience required.
  • CTP designation strongly preferred.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Technical expertise with treasury systems (Treasury workstations, bank portals, etc).
  • Knowledge of treasury and banking industry in US and Canada required. 
  • Understanding of payment systems (US: check clearing, ACH, card networks, Fedwire and CHIPS; Canada: LVTS, ACSS; Int’l: SWIFT).
  • MS-Office proficient with excellent Excel modelling skills.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Highly organized and detail orientated.
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
