Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Senior Manager for Channel Strategy, Category Insights & Revenue Growth Management (RGM) who will lead a team to deliver actionable category insights and strategies that optimize revenue growth, profitability, and market share. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Channel Strategy & Revenue Growth Management, this role will be responsible for driving performance across channels, categories, and customers. The leader will develop and execute new channel-specific strategies, leveraging market data, deep category insights, and advanced RGM principles to guide decision-making that maximizes revenue, profitability, and market share across Bimbo Canada’s portfolio. The incumbent will lead a high-performing team and play an important role in process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration with Brand Marketing, Sales, Supply Planning, and Omnichannel Marketing Teams to identify growth opportunities, develop pricing and promotional frameworks, and optimize channel execution aligned with the overarching business objectives.
Hiring Requirements:
Strategic Leadership:
Lead the Channel Strategy Team, Category Insights & RGM, setting a vision and roadmap for revenue growth initiatives across multiple channels and customer segments.
Provide actionable commercial insights to senior leadership, identifying growth opportunities and mitigating risks.
Channel Strategy Development:
Lead the creation of tailored strategies and portfolio for each sales channel to maximize revenue, profitability, and customer engagement.
Identify and evaluate new channel opportunities to drive incremental growth.
Collaborate with Sales teams to ensure alignment of pricing and promotional plans with customer category strategies.
Category Insights Leadership:
Lead team to analyze category trends, and market dynamics to identify growth opportunities and provide actionable recommendations to optimize growth.
Provide leadership direction to the team to optimize shelf space allocation and assortment strategies leveraging category and point-of-sale data.
Provide customer insights to influence assortment, pricing, and promotional strategies by working closely with the RGM team.
Revenue Growth Management (RGM):
Develop and execute pricing and promotional strategies to maximize ROI, volume, profit, and share.
Optimize promotional trade spend and improve pricing efficiency through detailed analytics and data-driven recommendations.
Communicate pricing guidelines and promotional tactics clearly to internal stakeholders.
Define and implement pricing architecture for new products, working closely with Marketing and Sales teams.
Define and implement a strategic PPA & OBPPC framework identifying opportunities to fill gaps in the portfolio by developing new pack sizes or formats tailored to customer needs and channel requirements.
Lead efforts to test pilot new pack configurations and pricing strategies, scaling successful initiatives.
Manage relationships with Global RGM, and with suppliers of RGM tools and market data (Nielsen)
Data-Driven Decision Making:
Analyze customer and channel performance metrics, including price elasticity, portfolio segmentation, and margin structures.
Leverage advanced analytics to forecast the impact of pricing and promotional changes on business outcomes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Brand Marketing, Sales, Supply Planning, Omnichannel Marketing & Field Sales teams to ensure seamless execution of channel strategies.
Establish, and share the capabilities and benefits of RGM across the organization
Team Development:
Mentor and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Ensure team members are equipped with the skills and tools necessary to excel in their roles.
Experience & Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA is preferred.
8+ years of experience in a CPG environment with a strong focus on Revenue Growth Management, Pricing, Category Management/Insights and/or Commercial Strategy.
Proven leadership experience managing high-performing teams and driving cross-functional initiatives.
Deep understanding of revenue management fundamentals, including pricing segmentation, trade spend optimization, and customer profitability models.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data and storytelling to present insights to senior management, customers and cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Office tools; experience with RGM and analytics platforms like Nielsen is an asset.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and energize teams.
Action-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering measurable results.
Must be proactive and performance-driven, have a bias for action, and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in people management and development is an asset.
