Hiring Requirements:
As the Merchandising and Promotional Execution Specialist, you will play a critical role in overseeing the production and distribution of all point-of-sale materials used in marketing and sales efforts.  The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.  You will work to ensure that our point-of-sale materials are produced efficiently and distributed effectively to support our retail field sales team and customer partners on schedule.  You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality promotional materials that drive sales and enhance brand visibility at the point of purchase.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning
  • Develop and execute production plans for point-of-sale materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective production while maintaining quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the marketing, sales, and design teams to understand the point-of-sale material requirements, including corrugate displays, signage, coupons, and promotional items.
  • Develop a detailed schedule of asset production and distribution.
Vendor Management
  • Identify and manage relationships with suppliers and production partners. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements to optimize cost-efficiency.
  • Explore and implement sustainable and eco-friendly practices in the production and distribution of assets.
Production
  • Ensure the timely and cost-effective production of point-of-sale materials while maintaining quality standards.
  • Oversee the proofing and approval process for all materials to ensure accuracy and brand compliance.
  • Maintain strict quality control standards for all point-of-sale materials, including displays, signage, and promotional materials.
  • Ensure all point-of-sale materials comply with regulatory and industry standards.
  • Lead the coupon process from end to end (set-up through to production and shipping)
Distribution & Logistics
  • Develop and implement distribution strategies to ensure point-of-sale materials are delivered to the right locations, including sales centres, events, and trade shows.
  • Coordinate with shipping and logistics partners to optimize delivery schedules and minimize costs.
  • Track and trace shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Inventory Management
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date inventory catalog of point-of sale materials to meet the demands of various sales channels and locations.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and loss.
  • Monitor inventory levels, and reorder materials as necessary to prevent out-of-stocks.
  • Oversee the storage, inventory, and distribution of point-of-sale materials to sales centres, minimizing waste and ensuring accurate stock levels.
  • Prepare regular reports on production and distribution metrics, including costs, delivery times, and inventory levels.
Experience & Education
  • Proven experience in print production and distribution.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of sustainable production practices and environmental standards is an asset.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud is an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to oversee production and distribution operations.
