Hiring Requirements:

The Maintenance Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring that maintenance activities are completed on time and aligned with operational needs. This position is responsible for prioritizing and scheduling maintenance tasks by managing the backlog, developing integrated schedules, and balancing resource capacities with work demands. The Maintenance Scheduler is essential for ensuring the seamless execution of maintenance activities in compliance with organizational goals and constraints.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a clear and up-to-date overview of the corrective maintenance backlog.
  • Prioritize maintenance tasks for daily execution schedules while considering available resource capacities.
  • Manage the maintenance backlog to align with operational requirements and resource availability.
  • Create integrated maintenance schedules, incorporating Preventative Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), Sanitation tasks, and Production timelines.
  • Develop and manage schedules for 365, 90, 28, and 14-day planning horizons.
  • Communicate and coordinate schedules across departments to ensure alignment with operational and maintenance priorities.
  • Continuously monitor and address scheduling constraints, resource capacities, and task prioritization.
  • Collaborate with work preparation teams, supervisors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective execution of maintenance plans.
  • Maintain awareness of equipment stops, outages, and shutdowns to ensure accurate schedule integration.
  • Conduct schedule cycle meetings and obtain approvals for finalized schedules.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and manage integrated maintenance schedules in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the food industry with a solid understanding of maintenance processes and trade disciplines.
  • Advanced proficiency in CMMS software, particularly Maximo.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
Experience & Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in data management, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance scheduling or a related role.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling tools such as Gantt charts, PERT networks, CMMS scheduling modules, and resource histograms.
  • Strong skills in assessing and prioritizing tasks based on system criticality, resource availability, and project timelines.
  • Exceptional time management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in coordinating resources, communicating priorities, and mitigating scheduling constraints.
